Our Story
The idea for Strategic Mami was born in the streets of New York City. Walking through the neighborhoods she’d grown up in, Belle Espinal was reminded of the pride, strength, and resilience of her community—a resilience she felt wasn’t visible enough. She saw a need for a brand that went beyond trends, apparel that told the stories of her community, that empowered people to wear their identities proudly and unapologetically. And in that moment, an idea sparked.
